Kink, or No Kink? I wanted to express my concern regarding the atmosphere in which this forum, , and other mediums - are operating. A few months ago, Google quietly tried to install a means by which traffic on the net can be tiered and seperated and basiy censored. The idea was that they could skirt around net neutrality - by simply cutting these deals to make sure certain persons or corporation - internet traffic was given precedence. However, this is a public internet - yes, we're always switching phone s across this thing - and yes, we've connected almost everything to it. What happens if we allow someone/or corporate entity to say we don't have access to it? This is, to me, tantamount to saying, kink forums and info can be cut off at any time - simply because we may not be not part of some elite group. This is a public internet. The fact that 17 states today are trying to make shut down part of its site - a part that does generate revenue for - and basiy censor anyone who would otherwise have posted in that category - bothers me alot. We see, in public and cultural representations of sexuality - an almost animalistic drive on the part of the social censorship board (the MPAA, for example) to depict sexuality in vanilla , boring terms. Not incoincidentally , the same kind of terms that countries like Uganda attempt to enforce - a bill is being passed there, to attempt to enforce heterosexuality by penalty of death or life in prison. There seems to be a strange, almost eerie drive on the part of the human race to try to ignore their basic sexual nature - and although we've made strides as a race, to represent sexuality (and likewise, women's basic human rights) - as something healthy - however we're apparently locked in a battle right now for almost anything alternative in nature. Risk Aware, Consensual Kink - seems to be a very healthy form of human sexuality. I wonder if anyone in this forum lives in any one of the 17 states who are now apparently ing for to shut down their adult/erotic services section. And what can be done? Not so kinky a top post, but something on my mind. Any ideas? Questions? Comments? Rude Remarks?

I'll only comment on one part of your post. Shutting down the adult/erotic services section isn't totally surprising if prostitution is illegal in the states that are trying to shut it down. I know that's a big umbrella to throw over that section, but the fact that most of the ads posted there are prostitution...well, if it's illegal, I can see why those states want that section shut down. I don't really see how that section of being gone would affect most kinksters. I guess I missed the link somewhere.

I think tB sees it as a first amendment issue You both have valid points but seem to view from it different perspectives. I'll just say I think prostitution laws are legislative morality, which disagree with.
